• According to The Independent, Lena Headey is writer, director and star of Intimacy, a new comedy drama for Radio 4 and BBC Sounds:

‘The series sees Headey play intimacy co-ordinator Liza Simmons, who is working on a new film adaptation of the notoriously racy Lady Chatterley’s Lover.’ (Rachel McGrath, 22 July 2026)

‘And finally, in 1960, Allen Lane was in the dock of the Old Bailey for the Lady Chatterley Trial, accused of publishing an ‘obscene’ book. Clare was there with her mother to watch — as was Francis Cammaerts, Michael’s uncle. A distinguished teacher, Cammaerts was called as a defence witness in the trial and spoke in favour of Lane. Penguin Books won the case.’

‘Radcliffe – like generations of his family before him – went to the Benedictine school Downside in Somerset, where he was a “bad boy”. As a 16-year-old, his favourite adventure was “sneaking out to the pub and not being found”. One day, during Benediction, he snuck in a copy of Lady Chatterley’s Lover. “I was just sitting there quietly reading away and trying to look innocent when suddenly I was spotted,” he remembers. He escaped expulsion.’
